covid -19 Positive efforts by dicci rajasthan – for scavengers

The Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) has been campaigning to distribute PPE kits, masks and gloves to the district collectors of the worst corona-affected districts of Rajasthan keeping in view the safety of the sanitation workers. So far more than 1 lakh masks, gloves and PPE have been presented to the Collectors & CMHOs of Jaipur, Kota, Jhalawar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Rajsamand and Pali districts.
These efforts are being made on the initiative of Dr. Satya Prakash Verma, Rajasthan President of DICCI. In this order, masks, gloves and PPE were distributed to the sanitary workers at many places in Jaipur city today.
Masks and gloves were distributed to Jaipur Municipal Corporation tipper drivers, sanitation workers and women who were collecting garbage without protection from the Mansarovar dumping yard.
Dr. Verma educated them about the safety measures from Corona infection. He also mentioned that they should do this work very carefully and not even accidentally touch any medical waste if by chance reach to the dumping yard mistakenly and immediately inform the nearest responsible officer concerned
Dr. Verma said that in this Corona era, these scavengers are true warriors, fighting against Corona by serving as sanitation workers. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of every citizen to respect them and provide protective equipments. DICCI Rajasthan Vice President Ashish Gora, Pawan Dev and Devki Godha also accompanied him.
